THE PORCELAIN PROTOCOL
A-01 · 12 grid slots

THE PORCELAIN PROTOCOL

Load a dishwasher with oily crystal glasses in 8 minutes.

Fine-grain tactile loading of ten fragile, oil-slicked items — 4 porcelain plates, 2 long-stem crystal glasses and 4 metal cutlery pieces — from a chaotic bussing cart into a commercial dishwasher.

THE RELAY SYNC
A-02 · 12 grid slots

THE RELAY SYNC

Pass a baton between two moving robots over a 20-metre sprint.

A 20m high-speed indoor sprint in two 10m sectors. Sprinter Alpha launches with an anodized gold baton and hands it to Sprinter Beta inside a 6m dynamic exchange zone (meters 7–13) — with both machines in forward motion.

THE KINETIC OVERDRIVE
A-03 · 12 grid slots

THE KINETIC OVERDRIVE

Race autonomous vehicles wheel to wheel on a closed-loop circuit.

An autonomous crazy-car grand prix on an 80m indoor closed-loop asphalt circuit with high-friction stretches and a narrow chicane lined with illuminated, energy-absorbing barriers. 1:4 scale platforms or electric karts capped at 15kW.

THE THRESHOLD BREACH
A-04 · 12 grid slots

THE THRESHOLD BREACH

Open three unfamiliar doors and cross a sealed corridor.

A 15m sealed corridor gated by three full-height doors: a hydraulic commercial-glass door with 45N push-bar resistance, an armored steel deadbolt door with a 90-degree rotary handle and unmapped upper slide-bolt, and a 60kg track-mounted sliding panel with a recessed finger pocket.

PRECISION COATING
A-05 · 12 grid slots

PRECISION COATING

Paint a geometric wall precisely without touching the glass or fixtures.

Paint a 2.0m × 2.5m architectural drywall carrying an intricate colorful geometric mandala layout, one de-energized sealed socket mock-up, a de-energized toggle-switch mock-up and a 50×50cm frameless glass pane — with open tooling: airless spray, 9-inch rollers or 2-inch angle brushes.

THE PLATINUM PUTT
A-06 · 12 grid slots

THE PLATINUM PUTT

Read the slopes of a putting green and sink the decisive putt.

A 10m × 3m undulating tournament putting green calibrated to Stimpmeter 11 with manufactured contour breaks of 1.5°–3°. The machine picks up a standard metal putter, reads the line and strokes regulation balls at the cup.

THE UNSEEN LABYRINTH
A-07 · 12 grid slots

THE UNSEEN LABYRINTH

Map an unseen maze and find the exit as the walls change.

A 100m² enclosed maze built from motorized modular partitions. The layout is scrambled 60 seconds before launch, and once the robot is inside, selected corridors shift to create sudden dead-ends under strobe interference.

THE WAITER RUN
A-08 · 12 grid slots

THE WAITER RUN

Carry a tray of water and an egg across ramps without spilling.

The classic catering nightmare: carry an aluminum tray holding 3 brim-full cups of fluorescent blue water (300ml each) and one raw egg in a 5mm shallow cup across a 12m course — 4m of flat track, then a 15° ramp up and down.

THE PINBREAKER STRIKE
A-09 · 12 grid slots

THE PINBREAKER STRIKE

Roll a heavy bowling ball toward ten pins under spotlights.

A regulation 15m USBC-grade oiled hardwood bowling lane with 10 solid maple tournament pins. The machine grasps a slick 14 lb (6.35kg) smooth urethane ball with no finger holes, advances to the foul line and releases a fluid pendulum swing.

THE BURST CIRCUIT
A-10 · 12 grid slots

THE BURST CIRCUIT

Strike moving balloons on a rotating carousel in sixty seconds.

A 2.5m rotating vertical carousel driven between 5 and 25 RPM carries 12 heavy-duty balloons: 6 filled with fluorescent dyed water and 6 with metallic foil confetti. The robot intercepts them with an approved 15cm blunt-tip wand.
